Wharf Shed desserts are also a little bit special. The “Berry White Island” [pictured opposite] was inspired by New Zealand’s only active marine volcano. A delicious meringue top forms the crater whilst fruits and their juices depict lava flows as they are drizzled over a blend of cream and yoghurt.
This dessert features in the book “New Zealand Food, Wine & Art – The Journey Continues”. The author declares that the published recipes “… come from some of the Country’s most innovative and creative chefs”
